All donations are allocated toward the scholarships.

The Sonja M. Hunt Education Foundation team is not compensated by any donation. We work with the foundation on a volunteer basis and cover overhead costs out-of-pocket.

For online donations: we use the payment processor Stripe. In order to use their services and accept online donations, this processor deducts 2.2% + $0.30 for all major credit card transactions. The rest of the donation goes directly to our scholarship fund, which is then divided between the scholarships we offer in a calendar year. The surplus is carried over to the next year.
